One of those days

Today is one of those days where I had planned to do a lot sewing.  Only to come back from the school run, start sewing, and then the electricity goes off.  It will be off for the rest of the day as the power company is improving its infrastructure.  Inconvenient for me to do it today, but something that is really necessary as well, as it will cause less 'spontaneous' outages during the rest of the week.

Well, it will allow me to ponder how to finish this rainbow crown.  It's the result out of my experiment in dyeing wool felt.

  1. How frustrating, but at least you can see the positive side.

I grew up in a place that lost electricity every now and again. Now living in the UK, where the electricity is more reliable, my husband laughs at me, as I'm still working out contigency plans in case the electricity going off.

    1. Hakuna Matata! The way to live here. You can make it work, or get really frustrated (which also happens at times!). We have contingency plans as well, but 8 hours without power is doable. The 24+ hours is when you have to be creative!

    1. Thanks Becca! Again out of electricity, but my neighbours were kind to run an extension for the basics.
