Painting Peg Dolls


In preparation of the upcoming EcoFair at the Nairobi Waldorf School I have started to paint peg dolls to make little gnomes.  The 3 Musketeers also wanted to paint and I finally took out the little angel peg dolls that I purchased around Christmas time, from this little shop, exactly for that reason.  While mine are simple in colour, the kids went their way and created very colourful angels.  It was loads of fun sitting around the table to create together, we finished them off with a layer of beeswax polish and now they are ready.

Some of my gnomes still need some felt hats. . .



In voorbereiding van de EcoFair op de Nairobi Waldorf School ben ik begonnen met het verven vanhouten poppetjes die kabouters worden. De drie musketiers wilden ook verven dus ik heb ze eindelijk de kleine houten engeltjes gegeven die ik rond de kerst van deze leuke winkel had gekocht. Mijn kabouters zijn vrij eenvoudig van kleur, maar de kinderen hadden hun eigen ideeën en gingen hun gang, met als resultaat drie bont gekleurde engeltjes.  Het was erg leuk werken met z'n vieren om de tafel, we hebben ze allemaal afgewerkt met bijewas en nu staan ze er leuk bij.

Een gedeelte van mijn kabouters heeft nog een puntmuts nodig . . .
