Crafting with Christmas on my Mind

It has been cold again this August in Nairobi, especially when one has enjoyed a few days on the coast in warm sunny weather.  Christmas has been on my mind because of the cool weather.

Today was the last day of the school holidays for the kids and while they were happily playing in the garden with the other kids in the compound, I had a chance to experiment more with my straw ornaments in order to prep for the upcoming Holiday Season.  I have admired these natural ornaments for years each Holiday Season in Germany and I finally have given it a try to make them for myself.
It's a lovely relaxing and calming process and I enjoy it so much that I have decided to offer them in the ziezo Etsy shop soon.  They are ranging in size between 6 and 20 centimeters (2.3 to 7.8 inches). If you are interested in purchasing some for the Holiday Season, please let me know by leaving a comment below indicating so, or by adding my shop to your favorites on Etsy.

  2. It's that time of year isn't it...when crafters start working on projects to get them all done in time? Lovely work. Thanks for sharing.

    1. It is Natalie! I was not able to do any sewing, since we have visitors, so it was a perfect time to start working on these on time ;-)

  3. Those are beautiful! I feel like my hands are too clumsy to try and pull them off.
Thank you so much for linking up again and again with KCCO!!
