Not a lot of crafting has been going on here. The school started again last week and we have been busy settling into the schedules for four kids and two adults. Now that we have seem to started a rhythm again, I finally am able to share our front-door hanging with you. It was created over the Holidays, a simple creation with some woodland flair, the latter very uncommon here at the equator.
I twisted some eyelet screws in some pine cones (collected in Europe last year), pulled through some ribbon, knotted the ends together and hung them over a piece of driftwood (collected at the Kenyan coast this winter). I then tied a piece of hemp string on the ends to hang the creation. It's simple with a lot of flair, in my opinion.
Ik draaide wat schroefoogjes in een aantal dennenappels (verzameld in Europa vorig jaar), trok lintjes door de oogjes, knoopte de uiteinden bij elkaar en hing ze over een stuk drijfhout (verzameld aan de Keniaanse kust deze winter). Daarna een stukje touw aan de uiteinden van het hout bevestigd en klaar is Kees. Eenvoud met veel flair, in mijn mening.

We hebben niet veel tijd gehad hier om te fröbelen. De school begon weer afgelopen week en we zijn druk in de weer geweest om alle schema's voor vier kinderen en twee volwassenen op order te krijgen. Nu we langzaam in ons ritme komen, ben ik eindelijk staat om onze deur decoratie met jullie te delen. Het werd gemaakt door de feestdagen, een eenvoudige creatie met een stukje Woodland flair, het laatste zeer ongewoon hier op de evenaar.
