Clothing Transformation

I recently went with my neighour at the local secondhand clothing market.  We had a successful morning looking through the heaps of clothes and other items in the stalls, and buying quite a few items for our families.

At one point I found a button-down dress with a funky pattern and 12 gorgeous mother-of-pearl buttons for 50 Kenyan Shillings (US$ 0.60 / € 0.45)!   It was a great opportunity as these mother-of-pearl buttons are quite pricey here in Nairobi.  Once I got home and removed the buttons, I also came up with another plan as I did not want to waste the nice cotton fabric.  I decided to make some lounge pants for my daughter. . . It was so easy to do and I had a very very happy girl!

I need to venture out in re-making clothes more often!
